Research

MDT is one of the most researched approaches in musculoskeletal care and continues to evolve in line with current evidence.

It has been examined in depth, in relation to its utility and efficacy in the spine and more research is accumulating in relation to its use in the extremities.

Access to MDT and related research is available via our REFERENCE LIST.

The McKenzie Institute International (MII) actively facilitates ongoing research via the Research Advisory Committee (RAC).  If you have an idea or question about developing an MDT related research proposal, contact the RAC today.

MII also endorses the work of the International Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy Research Foundation (IMDTRF), an independent not for profit organisation, which funds research exploring the usefulness and limitations of MDT. Full details, including application criteria, available at http://www.imdtrf.org/ .
